Ride Profile: Heather Parrish for the Portland Century

August 5, 2009

With August upon us, the Portland Century is right around the corner. On August 16, hundreds of cyclists will celebrate Portland and its fringes by enjoying tasty local food, scenic views, a strong sense of cycling community and much, much more.

Heather Parrish, a Portland area native, plans to celebrate both Portland and her birthday by riding the 25 mile quarter century route. Heather, who will be joined on route by her sister, is looking forward to the great food and relaxed atmosphere. "My favorite aspects of Portland include the wide variety of quality food and vegetarian options, the summers, gardening and the urban farmer movement. I've traveled a fair but, but I can't imagine living anywhere else!"

Join Heather - and wish her happy birthday - on August 16 by registering for the 25, 50 or 100 mile route today.
