You've got to watch this Reach the Beach video. People ride Reach the Beach for all sorts of reasons. This video features Brian, a rider who only has one lung, and how his company, Rejuvination, rallied around him to support his ride. It's a great story.

Wow - really cool. I ride Reach the Beach because it is a pretty route outside of the city. For the last three year's, I've been riding from Amity. I'm not sure where I'm starting from this year, but I'm considering Salem for something new. I also like the idea of riding through wine country.
